Yes it's "points séparés" in French. As for "introflexed", we don't talk of "introflexed" knots or sutures in English. This is obviously direct from Italian - I found another ref to introflexed suture by Italian authors. I'll look further - tricky one!

Du coup je pensais à "sutures à points séparés noués vers l'intérieur", est-ce que cela conviendrait éventuellement ?
Cela dit, il est question plus loin d'une "introflexion of the wound lips" (citée parmi les anomalies observées au cours de la phase post-opératoire)...

Thank you for your help, Sue! The authors are certainly Italian, I think (a pity indeed :-( !).
Should it be "points séparés" all the same in French, or rather "points interrompus"? And can I say "points de suture terminés par un noeud (etc.)"?
As far as my question is concerned, I rather thought that it meant the knot itself was turned inward, not the wound edges, but I might be wrong?...

Do you know the native language of the authors? It's not English. For example, we don't say "reabsorbable" but "absorbable", and "separate stitches" should be "interrupted".

I should think this means the wound edges are turned in - didn't you ask something like this not long ago?
