SJLD: not the right register/if it's not the right register it's not the right term in this instance./This is a doctor talking to a patient - s/he would not say "On va voir si vous avez de la lithiase biliaire".

Tony M: As Sue says, this is not the equivalent register to the source term, and the context makes that quite clear; an equivalent technical term exists in EN, but was not used.
