I had a good look at constructions with "infra-poplité(e)(s)" and "sous-poplité(e)(s)", e.g. ischémie, artériopathie, pathologie vasculaire, etc. and get the impression that "sous-" wins out over "infra-" in native European French texts. But either would be acceptable. The French tend to use "sus" and "sous" where English uses "supra" and "infra".

Thanks for your thoughts. In this context I agree with SJDL that the plural form should be used. I found both of the proposed translations (infrapoplitées et sous-poplitées) in some documents, but I was hesitant due to the relatively low number of hits and my inability to find it in an anatomical atlas. This would make sense if this is not the name of a given artery but a group of arteries below the popliteal artery.

The asker asked for a singular, singular translation it is. As in "sténose d'une artère infrapoplitée". And no one ever said there was "a single artery called the infrapopliteal artery".

There is no single artery called the infrapopliteal artery. There are several.
infrapopliteal = below the popliteal artery
