Bonjour,

il y a-t-il un terme spécifique pour traduire "ground mouvement" quand il est utilisé comme dans les phrases suivantes ?

"The team wants to try to isolate a house from ground movement by putting ball bearings between the foundations and the structure above."

"These houses will be subjected to the same ground movement that was caused when a damging quake rocked Northridge, California, in 1994."

L’échelle de Richter classe les séismes en fonction de l’amplitude des mouvements du sol mesurée à 100 km de l’épicentre du séisme, point de la surface terrestre directement situé au-dessus de l’origine du séisme. Les mouvements du sol sont mesurés par un instrument appelé sismographe.
