English term or phrase: lead
The director of the opera is talking to his colleague. He talks about the dancers of the opera who are rehearsing. I'm not sure how to understand the second sentence.

Explanation:
Expressions liées : "Mener la danse", "Meneuse de revue", etc...

PS: S'il s'agissait de danses de couples et que la réflexion était dirigée vers un homme, j'aurais dit "guider" (le cavalier "guide" sa cavalière). Dans ce contexte, je pense que "mener" convient mieux.
