/ Japanese flower arranging
English term or phrase: teardrop container
In a book on ikebana (Japanese flower arranging), the context is the following: "Small and compact, this arrangement on the right is designed to be seen from above, standing by the basin [in the bathroom]. Placed in a small Japanese teardrop container, the tulips have been cut very short [...]."
The container seems to be made of porcelain. It is shallow and triangular

Evidemment la forme ici est différente - cependant il me semble que la fonction première est identique (même si ici elle est détournée pour des fleurs!)
