j'apprends de toi pour le meilleur... Explanation: Ci-dessus, la traduction de votre phrase; par contre, je crois que vous parlez de la chanson I Learned From the Best (I learned from you), qui serait traduite "J'ai étudié auprès du maître, j'ai appris de toi (comment briser les coeurs ;-)" Le site ci-dessous contient le texte complet de la chanson, ainsi que plein d'informations sur Whitney Houston. Bonne chance, Evelyna Reference: http://www.multimania.com/whfan/ilftb.htm |

"J'apprends de toi pour le mieux" ou "pour ce qu'il y a de meilleur" Explanation: The expression "for the best" is usually translated by "pour le mieux". For example, when something happens and you say "This happened for the best", you would say in French "C'est arrive pour le mieux". I take the above sentence to be in the same vein. "What I learn from you is for the best." It could also be another meaning of "I learn from you in preparation for what will be the best in life". Maybe the English sentence implies both meanings. The rest of the song would give a better idea of what the author meant. You could also say "Tu m'apprends pour le mieux" with "apprendre" taken in the sense of "to teach". It would be a simpler sentence, and would express better the two different English meanings. Cheers! |

"J'ai appris du meilleur professeur, j'ai appris de toi"? Explanation: Se pourrait-il que la phrase originale soit plutot: "I learned from the best, I learned from you"? Cette phrase se trouve dans une chanson de Whitney Houston (voir site ci-bas). Dans ce cas, la traduction serait quelque chose comme la phrase ci-haut". On pourrait aussi la traduire de facon plus literaire en disant "Je suis allee a la meilleure ecole, j'ai appris avec toi" ou quelque chose comme ca... Est-ce que ca aide? tu m'as appris ce qu'il y a de meilleur Explanation: According to me, this is the translation of this phrase. I think that it would be better not to translate this phrase word by word, so that's the reason why I propose you this translation. Hope it helps, Sandrine Lhote. |
