...quant à la formulation de l'anglais qui dirait plutôt : « his commitment TO ». L'utilisation combinée de « committed ACT » + « AS » évoque une autre interprétation.

Est-ce possible dans votre contexte ? J'aimerais avoir un tout petit peu plus d'infos.

  -> L'ennui est que nous n'avons pas suffisamment de contexte. Le peu qui nous a été donné indique cependant qu'il ne s'agit pas de "engagement", à mon avis.
