1.- Sacrifices maintained the covenant relationship between God and Israel
2.- Sacrifices atoned sins on the basis of the All-sufficient, truly efficacious Lamb
3.- Efficacy was ascribed to the Levitical Sacrifice not inherent within the animal
4.- It was God's merciful mean to the sinner to draw near to him continually E.- Difference in that OT sins were not purged but passed over by God's grace until Christ F.- Christ has been the designated Lamb who takes away the sin of the world Past, Present, Future according to God's purpose, foreknowledge (Rom. 3:25)
