J\'ai trouvé des sites en anglais, y compris un avec illustration et synonyme de ce point (voir le site ci-bas pour le designer 1) , mais, malheureusement, les sites en français n\'identifient pas les points, seulement les pieds. MAIS--- l\'illustration indique que ce point est pour faire du *shirring*, ce qui donne, en français, selon Termium: *fronce* s CORRECT,FEM DEF - Chacun des petits plis obtenus en resserrant une étoffe à l\'aide d\'un fil coulissé. However, judged by the illustration on the webside indicated below, identical to the illustration of the stitch in my Singer manual, this is the correct term. Compare the definitions: "The bridging stitch effectively joins two materials butted together, and is suitable for inserting lace, patchwork, sewing on elastic fabrics, shirring larger areas of fabric, machine smocking, and tatting the edges of garments" point de chausson: "Ce point se prête à de nombreux usages comme l'assemblage de pièces de tissu, la broderie, le matelassé et les coutures échelles."
