Juste pour confirmer la réponse ci-dessus. Pour l'annecdote, les panties étaient revenus à la mode dans les années 66-67 me semble-t-il. Tout ce que je peux vous dire c'est que j'étais petite à l'époque et que j'en ai porté!

Explanation:
"pantee" or "pantees" or "panties" : basically correspond to "culotte". The last two spellings were used in the fifties and sixties, "panties" still being used today when trying to avoid referring to what most people will refer to as "knickers" or just "pants". I am using British English here as I understand US English here is quite different.

"pantee" "pantalets" "pantaloons" : are basically long drawers/underwear which extended below skirts and were worn during the 19th century. "Pantaloons" was also used to describe men's tight-fitting trousers which fastened below the calf or even under the shoe. More currently used to describe baggy trousers nowadays.
