Tech/Engineering - Petroleum Eng/Sci / drilling/geothermal energy
English term or phrase: stationary winding
Bonjour,

"The steam creates mechanic energy by spinning the turbine. The turbine is coupled to the generator, which converts mechanical energy into electrical energy and turns at 3600 RPM. Inside the generator is a large electromagnetic rotor that spins inside a stationary winding, which causes electrons to flow making electricity."
