Medical - Psychology / a "new disease"?
English term or phrase: telephone scatialogia
That's from this site :
http://articles.mercola.com/sites/articles/archive/2007/11/1...

Context :
"All mental health diagnoses are codified in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual (DSM), originally published in 1952 by the American Psychiatric Association (APA). At that time, it had 112 entries...

The current DSM-IV and the soon to be released DSM-V include such gems as:
Mathematics disorder
Caffeine disorder
Disorder of Written Expression
Telephone Scatialogia
Malingering

These absurd codes make it possible for your mental health professional to invoice for your visit, no matter how normal or innocent the real problem might be. And with the bill comes a label, and most often a drug."

I can figure out the others, but that one? Even a search on Google gives only the same reference.
Is it based on "scatology"? as in being rude on the phone?

Any suggestion?
P.S. I'm not sure if this guy is serious or not in his writing, but that's beside the point.

Explanation:
Quelques infos supplémentaires par rapport à la réponse de F X :

L'article original est dans The New American du 17 septembre et le terme utilisé est celui de scatalogia (il y a donc bien typo dans ta référence) :

***

The real purpose of these categories is to provide a basis for insurance reimbursement. The DSM, in its fourth iteration as DSM-IV, and the soon to be released DSM-V, contains such gems as Mathematics Disorder, Caffeine Disorder, Disorder of Written Expression, Telephone Scatalogia, and Malingering. Thus, virtually any visit to a mental health professional can result in a diagnosis which qualifies for payment by health insurance agencies.

Ce qui après vérification (j'étais pas sûr) semble s'écrire également à côté de scatologia.
