neutral  Tom Bishop: But even in the Morbihan, the principal sail is surely the grand-voile, and that is set on the mainmast. "The principal sail on a boat attached to the mast.." Sounds like the mainmast to me. But the definition seems poorly written.

neutral  Tom Bishop: If it were a typo for leaning, I would agree. I'd like to know the name of the sail first!

  -> Hi Tom. Yes, I guess we all assumed it was a typo, from the structure of the sentence and that of the query. If it is indeed the sail, the whole thing doesn't make much sense, seems to me.
