Puisque le ton n'est pas formel, je crois qu'il faut soit laisser "bien des ai-yaah" (pour ne pas perdre l'aspect culturel), soit harmoniser avec la traduction retenue pour "giggling":

Souvent, la journée terminée, Chow joue de sa flûte pour Suzy qui danse [tout en rigolant et ai-yaah-ant] [avec force rigolades et ai-yaah-ades][ricaneuse et ai-yaah-euse].

comme certains s'amusent de la désinence "-ing" en français pour dire "magasining", "covoituring", etc.

Je pense qu'il faut éviter de reprendre la transcirption à l'anglaise. ''heya'' ou ''he ya'' semble être l'othographe la plus usitée en français.

Il faut essayer de rendre le comique de cette scène décrite ici par l'auteur en des termes un tantinet moqueurs.
