English to French translations [PRO] Sports / Fitness / Recreation / Courses de chevaux - course de galop - techniques de débourrage | | English term or phrase: bellying a horse | This is when a rider will lay down on top of the horse (with his stomach, or "belly" down) to introduce weight to a new horse so he gets used to it. After performing the Bellying routine for a bit, they will slowly start to introduce having a rider sit on the horse.
