fiche de mise à terre Explanation: I think that the "plug" refered to belongs with the machine itself and not to the wall, since this is in an instruction booklet for the machine. Therefore, you cannot use the word "prise" as this refers to the electrical outlet in the wall. The word that means the" third prong" that is meant to be inserted in to this "prise" or outlet is called a "fiche". Hope this helps. |

Fiche de terre Explanation: Salut, En Amérique, les électro-domestiques et, plus particulièrement, les ordinateurs viennent avec des prises mâles qui comptent trois fiches: une neutre, une (je ne sais plus!), et une troisième, en général plus grosse, qui est la fiche de terre. Si tu utilises una rallonge ou une prise électrique avec deux douilles seulement, tu n'arriveras pas à brancher ta machine. Dans ce cas-là, tu dois la "scier" (le "defeat" de ton texte).
