rater/manquer/perdre l'occasion

the window defines the opportunity, in French "l'occasion". different verbs can be used, perdre is " to lose" whereas rater and manquer is "to miss". Rater is less formal. of course you will have to conjugate the verb as requested by the context. Here, possible need to use present simple/future proche: "Allons-nous battre la compétition ou allons-nous rater l'occasion?"
