The behaviour of the time daemon is CPU specific.On the network CPU, this daemon uses the received NTP messages to determine the system time and uses this system time to fill the NRM_E timer.It furthermore updates the local CPU clock and RTC clock. On the network CPU, a configuration file is used to supply the time daemon with the necessary data.
On the other CPUs of the node, the time daemon uses the NRM_E timer to update the local CPU clocks. This is the default function of the time daemon, for which no configuration file is required.
