We were immediately invited to parties, the kind that no longer exist--costume parties, black and white parties. The clothes were dressy, we wore long gowns and what were then called ***pajama pants***. And heels--we actually wore heels! |

Je pense qu'on utilisait cette expression, encore utilisée actuellement (voir lien)
On disait aussi seulement "pyjama" (cf Sylvie Vartan) mais je pense que la précision est de mise
