English term or phrase: benefits have vested
The portion of the increased benefit which relates to past employee service is recognised in profit or loss on a straight line basis over the average period until the benefits have vested. If benefits vest immediately they are recognised immediately in profit or loss.

The text is about the accounting treatment of company pension plans.

Is vested here in the sense of "due" or maybe "incurred"?
