der Hintergrund: Mit dem Marketing-Tool (bzw. -Konzept) lassen sich Transaktionsdokumente (Rechnungen, Kontoauszüge usw.) als Werbeträger verwenden. Wir bewegen uns in der Enterprise-Klasse (Produktionsdruck! Es geht also auch um großvolumigen Druck auf allerhöchstem Niveau; Stichwort: Produktionsdrucksystem).

Ich übersetze einige "success stories". Ein Kunde, der das Marketing-Tool ABC einsetzt, berichtet wie es bisher bei ihm ablief (bevor er das Tool ABC anschaffte):

For six years, companyzzz mass-produced variable-data *ledger sheets*, such as credit card statements, using spot color for customers’ logos and other static graphics or text.

But to stay competitive, companyzzz needed to meet customer demand for full-color transpromo printing - a demand that researchers anticipate to grow at a 91 percent compound annual rate through 2010.
