Mir ist unklar, worauf sich das "inaugural" hier bezieht. Auf "ceremony"?
Mein Versuch ohne "inaugural": "Bei der Preisverleihung für Privatkundenbanken durch XYZ wurde ABC als Privatkundenbank des Jahres ausgezeichnet." Wie passt das "inaugural" in diesen Satz? Eröffnungs-Preisverleihung"??
XYZ ist eine Publikation, die den Preis verleiht.

Die Preisverleihung fand anscheinend zum ersten Mal überhaupt statt.
Ja - "inaugural" bezieht sich auf "ceremony"

Interessant: die gängigen Wörterbücher geben alle "Eröffnungs-X" an. Daher vielleicht die Verwirrung.

Siehe aber Definition 2. im Merriam-Webster’s Collegiate Dictionary:
"marking a beginning: first in a projected series"
