Explanation:
Es gibt horizontale und vertikale Medien. Vertikale umfassen Tageszeitungen und lokales Fernsehen, horizontale sind Zeitschriften, Internet, E-Mail. Wobei es auch um die Art des Kunden geht, den man erreichen möchte. B2B wäre vertikal, Direktkunden wäre horizontal.

neutral  Lonnie Legg: Das scheint der passende Terminus zu sein. Allerdings bin ich mit der Erlärung nicht einverstanden (auch wenn die Quellen diese bestätigen): "Horizontal" meint man doch den Austausch zwischen "Ebenbürtigen"--wieso sollen Zeitschriften "horizontal" sein?
