Explanation:
I read this as an awful example of English as she is mercilessly tortured by people who think they have a right to do just that, because they are trying to sell something.

In plain English, it should probably read: "In an arresting design of differently coloured bays...", as in the sections of a shop, where different categories of products are stocked.

This form of words, using "bay" as a colour, is certainly no English I've ever heard, and if you enquire, I'm sure you'll find it has nothing whatsoever to do with "bay" as a colour, which in my experience has only ever been used of horses.
