English term or phrase: gelling foam dressing
Apparently the foam turns into gel in this dressing.

I am proofing a marketing booklet. The previous translator has translated this as "Gelierschaumverband". This just doesn't sound right to my German ears. It reminds me of cooking marmalade.

My suggestions would be either " Gelschaumverband" oder "Gelbildender Schaumverband".

I have found "Gelverband" and "Schaumverband" and "gelbildene Hydrofiber".

I would be grateful for your opinions on this. Thanks
margarete

(hydrozellulärer/hydroaktiver) Gelverband / Hydrogel

Explanation:
