Hi,

I'm working on a paper about cockpit design for airplaines, and there are some things I'm not sure whether to leave in English or, if they are commonly translated, what to call them (see also my other questions about this):

Question: Is the visual flight profile for Airplane Y different from Airplane X for a pilot? Is the appearance of flight the same? Answer: To achieve commonality with Airplane X we have designed the pilot's view to be virtually identical.

What is the German term for "visual flight profile"? Is the English term known in German aviation circles? And is this term identical to "pilot's view"?

Explanation:
Ich denke mal, der Unterschied ist, dass sich das "visual flight profile" auf die VFR (Visual Fight Rules) bezieht. Inhaltlich wird es aber mit dem pilot's view identisch sein; die Begrifflichkeit ist wohl nur eine andere.
