I'm translating an aircraft website and came across a few technical terms I don't know. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
This term refers to wind tunnel technology.
flow conditioner
Context:
In addition, redesigned fan blades have been installed along with new turning vanes, a flow conditioner and a bell mouth.
Also, does anyone know the difference between fan blades and turning vanes?

Die Norm ISO 5167-1:2003 spezifiziert die geraden Rohrlängen in Strömungsrichtung zur Konditionierung der Strömung für alle wichtigen Klassen von Differenzdruckgeräten. Manchmal sind diese Länge in der Praxis einfach nicht möglich. Wenn der Genauigkeitsverlust in solchen Fällen reduziert werden muss, kann ein Strömungsgleichrichter bzw. Strömungskonditionierer verwendet werden.
Ein Strömungsgleichrichter vermeidet Wirbel, während ein Strömungskonditionierer versucht das Strömungsgeschwindigkeitsprofil wieder in eine Normform zu bringen.

I suppose that flow in this case means Luftstrom - would be logical when you talk of aircraft. Moreover for fan blade I found Ventilatorschaufel and for turning vane Umleitblech.
