English term or phrase: neat foam
It's part of a patent, where foams are made from polymers. It talks a bout "neat foams" and "syntactic foams", and I cannot find a good translation or explanation for "neat foams".

Explanation:
"Neat" bezeichnet in der Chemie meist einen Reinzustand, das scheint mir hier aber etwas abwegig. "Syntactic foam" ist in diesem Fall Schaum aus syndiotaktischem Polymer, also ist anzunehmen, dass mit "neat foam" Schaum aus "neat" Polymer gemeint ist. Nun müsste man natürlich wissen, was damit wiederum gemeint ist.
Außer dem syndiotaktischem Polymer mit den Gruppen auf beiden Seiten alternierend gibt es noch isotaktisch (alle Gruppen auf einer Seite) und ataktisch (statische, zufällige Anordnung). Es wäre möglich, dass hier isotaktisch gemeint ist, ist aber wirklich nur eine reine Vermutung.
