English to German translations [PRO] Tech/Engineering - Agriculture / Gardening | | English term or phrase: top growth | Gemeint sind die Pflanzenteile oberhalb der Erde im Gegensatz zum Wurzelbereich:
"Prune the branches hard so that they are about 4-6 in in length; this will allow the plant to direct its energy to making new roots without having to maintain a lot of ***top growth***.
"Oberirdische Pflanzenteile" klingt mir doch sehr gespreizt.
Mir geht es auch hier wieder darum herauszufinden, ob es dafür einen Fachausdruck in Deutsch gibt. In den online-Wörterbüchern und in KudoZ wurde ich nicht fündig. Und in Google ist damit etwas ganz Anderes gemeint. |
