English to German translations [PRO]

Es geht um die Farbbeschreibung einer neuen Sorte. Ein Farbbild ist nicht verfügbar.
Bisher habe ich immer "rosarot" übersetzt, war mir aber nie ganz sicher. Vor allem der Nachsatz macht mich vorsichtig: "paling to a lighter pink" sagt eigentlich doch, dass die Hauptfarbe rosa ist und nicht rot.
