In einem Abschnitt über Golfwetten:

Betting on a Place Finish

Der mit Sternchen abgegrenzte Satzteil verwirrt mich: was bedeutet "considerably" hier? Und verstehe ich richtig, dass die Gewinnchancen proportional gleich liegen, wenn der Spieler den 2. oder 6. Platz belegt?

gleichverteilte Ausschüttung bei Platzwetten


Explanation:
ist nicht die exakte Übersetzung, aber das was dahinter steckt.

Ich verstehe es so, dass es zwei Platzwetten-Kategorien gibt:
unter die ersten Drei
oder
unter die ersten Sechs

in jedem Fall ist bei Gewinn die Ausschüttung gleich hoch.
Die Quote mag im ersten Fall höher liegen (ist ja risikoreicher)
als im zweiten Fall.
Letztlich spielt aber nur die "Aussage" eine Rolle nicht die tatsächliche Platzierung.
(Sonst müsste ja auf Sieg, auf 2. Platz oder was weiss ich gesetzt werden)
