English to German translations [PRO] Tech/Engineering - Architecture | | English term or phrase: Kiosk | In a description about a palace:
"The facades are decorated with bracketed balconies, **** kiosks *****, arcades and wide eaves which create a glorious play of light and shade."
I'm pretty sure that a German Kiosk is not what is meant here, but I can't find any other translation and am having a hard time even coming up with an English definition of this type of Kiosk. Any takers? |

| | Erker | Explanation: Since the structure referred to is part of the facade of a building and probably not a structur standing by itself, I am pretty sure what is ment here is the German "Erker" which, were it to be taken out from the facade and to be completed in form, wuld be a "Pavillon". |
