CONTEXT: "The book was launched at a private ceremony for celebrity and special invitees in the birth city of the author at the prestigious Nokashere Institute for Management & Technology (NIMT). To mark the occasion, NIMT hosted a 10-week fine art exhibition under the theme “....” featuring some 30 paintings of the author."

Wenn's euch beruhigt: die Übersetzung hatte ich schon im Kopf, bevor ich die Frage aufgemacht habe. Ich habe mich für eine eigene Antwort entscheiden, weil ich eben gerade den Unterschied zu der m.E. etwas schwerfälligeren Formulierung "anläßlich ..." unterstreichen wollte.

Thank you. Although "Anlässlich dieses Ereignisses" is also a great option, it seems to be more powerful than the English term becasue the event is declared both an "Anlass" and an "Ereignis" in one blow. "Aus diesem Anlass" seems less emphatic and, in my opinion, keeps the same "verbal temperature" as the English term.
