Meine bisherige Übersetzung:
Die AGNSW ist die einzige staatliche Galerie, die über einen Ausstellungsbereich verfügt, in dem ausschliesslich neue innovative Kunst präsentiert wird.

Ist das so korrekt? Mir ist nicht ganz klar, was das "project space" hier ausdrücken soll. Wie versteht ihr den Satz?

@Barbara: Ich habe in meinem untenstehenden Diskussionsbeitrag "Project Space" als Variante genannt; persönlich sträube ich mich allerdings gegen das Denglische, wo gleichwertige deutsche Begriffe zur Verfügung stehen.

Wird der englische Begriff Project Space im DE nicht zielgerichtet dann eingesetzt, wenn darauf hingewiesen werden soll, dass in diesem Raum experimentelle Kunst ihren Platz hat? Kommt m.M. nach viel deutlicher zum Ausdruck als mit Projektraum/Projektplattform.

Gebe Anja recht, Project Space ist ein besonderes Ausstellungskonzept im Rahmen eines eines Kunstmuseums, ein vielleicht experimenteller Ausstellungsraum oder so ähnlich (ich würde staatliches Kunstmuseum schreiben, Staatsgalerie klingt mir zu sehr nach Eigenname).

Da Projektraum/Project Space auch im DE üblich ist, würde ich diesen Begriff nicht unter den Tisch fallen lassen, verdrehte Syntax hin oder her...

From the point of view of grammar, this sentence does not make much sense, as it equates "project space" with "state gallery" and then goes on to say that this has "an exhibition space". So the "project space" has an "exhibition space". In order to be logical, the project space (the gallery) would thus have to be larger than the "exhibition space". How would that work out?

I would leave it as the Asker has translated it, this at least makes sense.

Sebastian Viebahn: Projektraum ist es jedenfalls im Kölner Museum Ludwig; da schwingt der im KUnstkontext zentrale "Raum"-Begriff mit, deshalb sehe ich "-raum" als geeigneter an als "-plattform"
