I need a translation of the phrase "seize the day" from English to German. My grandmother was German and I am working on a project for her and I am having a difficult time finding an exact and definitive translation.Thanks

Seize the day - refers to the Latin phrase \"Carpe Diem\" which means \"Pflücke den Tag\" (Literally: Pick/pluck the day - like an apple :-)

But \"Nutze den Tag\" (Literally: Use the day) is more common - though less poetic.

Come to think of it... I\'d use \"Nutze den Tag\". It\'s quite probably the term your grandmother used....

Nesrin: or "Nutze den Tag". I believe the Latin "Carpe Diem" is the more common expression though.
