"Large-Case Instruments - Large, conventional instruments on old panels were
operated when mounted two rows high. They do not permit a great deal of
flexibility..."
In the late 1940's and early 1950's, analog instrumentation hardware was
generally based on pneumatic (air pressure), large-case (approximately 18x
18 in.) concepts. Each instrument was directly connected to a process

Asker: Ah, mein Fehler: die Geräte werden nach wie vor verkauft und eingesetzt - und in meinem Fall beworben. Der Begriff muss also zumindest neutral sein.
