Tech/Engineering - Automotive / Cars & Trucks | | English term or phrase: bump cap | | When turning the steering wheel to right or left at low speed or when stopped, noise can be heard from front damper(s). Due to premature wear of the bump stopper rubber or bump cap, stick-slip occurred, resulting in the noise symptom. To improve wear resistance, the bump cap coating material was changed. Check that the front damper generates noise (stick-slip) when the steering is turned. |
