Explanation: Hi Gudrun,
"Profit requirements" in your sentence hints at the fact that a more general term might do as well. Brie's suggestion is certainly correct, however, AFAIK, Faulturm is most commonly used in the context of wastewater treatment. This is why I wanted to offer Bioreaktor (or just Reaktor) as an alternative. Maybe you could even leave it out completely, since digester and fermenter are essentially the same thing when it comes to biogas production.

Asker: Thanks, Marion, but the English word was not bioreactor. I agree, probably the digester is the same thing as a bioreactor, but I prefer to remain as close to the original as possible.
