Kommt in einer Anleitung zur Verarbeitung von Urinproben vor. Das Gerät sieht aus wie so eine Schlaufe für Seifenblasen. Man nimmt damit den Urin auf und streicht ihn auf die Platten:

- Hold a sterile 0.001 mL (1 μL) disposable loop vertically and immerse it just below the surface of the well mixed, uncentrifuged urine specimen.
- Make a straight line down the center of the Blood agar and MacConkey plate with the inoculated loop. Streak by making a series of passes across the surface of the plate(s) at 90° angles through the inoculum.
