Sicherheitsleistung Explanation: At Merrill Lynch and Prudential Bache we called the margin requirement the Sicherheitsleistung. The Nachschusspflicht is the margin call. When your margin/collateral is used up by adverse market movement you get a margin call. This is where the Nachschusspflicht comes in. Dabei wird der Schlusskurs (Close of Bussines) zugrunde gelegt. Das genau zu erklären würde den Rahmen der Diskussion etwas sprengen. Der Investor muss die Sicherheitsleistung entweder in Bar oder in \'marketable securities\' (t-bills) zur Verfügung haben \'on a day to day basis\'.
