Tagesgeldmarkt? Im Deutschen ist "Kredit" ja wohl unpassend. Kommt ja auch nur darauf an, von welcher Seite man's betrachtet, aufnehmen oder ausleihen.

Bei einer Übersetzung für einen Landesbank habe ich fast immer alle Varienten von "money market funds" zusammen in einem Konto gehabt (Tagesgeld - overnight funds, tägliches Geld - call funds, sowie Termingelder). Passt dann hier "tägliches Geld"??

Warum nicht Übernachtkredite (auf Deutsch eingestellter Google bringt für den Singular immerhin 63 Treffer)?

Ein Textausschnitt zum US-System: " Das FOMC entscheidet alleine über den Zinssatz der so genannten Fed Funds, also die Zinsrate, die für das über Nacht geliehene Geld verlangt wird." (ex: http://www.politikerscreen.de/lexikon/lexikon_detail.asp?ID=...

Auch in Europa existiert das System der Übernachtkredite:

"Eine sogenannte Spitzenrefinanzierungsfazilität, bei der Bundesbank ÜBERNACHTKREDIT genannt, tritt die Nachfolge des bisherigen Lombardkredits an. Diese gewährt jeweils mit der Laufzeit von einem Geschäftstag, das heißt über Nacht, Liquidität in beantragter Höhe zu einem vorgegebenen Zinssatz. "

Zumindest in Europa gibt es die Übernachtkredite auch anders rum, d. h. Banken können Liquiditätsüberschüsse über Nacht bei der Zentralbank deponieren.
