Es geht um die Grundsteinlegung für einen neuen Fertigungsstandort.
Explanation: Ich verstehe das so, dass das, was die Fertigungsstätte künftig zur Supply Chain beisteuern soll, einerseits technologisch geprägt ist und andererseits einen hohen Wertbeitrag leistet (wobei sich der Mann wohl etwas nachlässig ausgedrückt hat).
Leistungsumfänge, denke ich, passt zu einer solchen Fertigungsstätte ganz gut; bei "Arbeitspaketen" denke ich eher an Einzelpersonen oder Teams.
Vielleicht auch "Leistungsbeiträge" oder sogar "Lieferumfänge"?
Statt "werthaltige" ginge vielleicht auch "hochwertige, anspruchsvolle";
statt "Hightech-" evtl. auch "technologische".
@Gudrun: ja, es ist kurz und superknapp, es könnte etwas fehlen. Statt 'work' drängt sich bei mir 'work force' auf - das ist aber dann auch genau Brigittes Interpretation.
Mehr Kontext könnte evtl. helfen, aber aufgrund der vorhergehenden Sätze interpretierte ich die kryptische Aussage so: Das High-Tech-Angebot vor Ort (attractive industrial environment) plus die gut geschulten/ausgebildeten Arbeitskräfte (work packages) schaffen einen Wert/Nutzen, welcher der Lieferkette in Europa zugute kommt.
ist halt eine Hilfsübersetzung, weil package im Englischen bedeutungsreicher und unverseller einsetzbar ist, als Paket im Deutschen.
Aber 'Kombination' o.ä. erschienen mir auch nicht schöner.
