English term or phrase:maintenance goal

I just can't find a short and appropriate translation for this term.
I understand that it means to maintain qualities and achievements, as opposed to growth goal, which means to develop and improve a skill. Is there any set German term for this?

Policy setting has to do with mission and maintenance goals.
Explanation: In diesem Kontext würde ich einfach "Erhaltungsziel" verwenden. Es steht da ja "maintain qualities and achievements", also etwas bereits Erreichtes erhalten. Im Gegensatz dazu "Erreichungsziele" ("achievement goals", "Neues erreichen", hier also die "development und growth goals").
Danke, Horst, das ist eine interressante Frage - da es in der Pluralform im Text steht, klingt es für mich danach, dass es um die Erhaltung verschiedener Charakteristiken geht, und nicht nur der Stabilität.
würde hier ein Ausmaß an Selektivität andeuten. Dies und jenes ist ein Erhaltungsziel, manch anderes nicht. Soweit der Zusammenhang in die Richtung weist, gut und schön. Von einer anderen Seite her bezeichnet "maintenance goal", daß Stabilität als solche das Ziel sein könnte?

Die Unternehmenspolitik wird bestimmt durch die Aufgaben insgesamt (die Mission - für 'mission') und über das Ziel, stabil funktionierende Unternehmensstrukturen zu gewährleisten (für 'maintenance goals'). Das werde ich mal als Lösung einstellen.
Das übergreifende Thema des Textes ist die Fusion von Firmen. Bei 'policy goals' geht es um allgemeine Firmen-Richtlinien. Das 'maintenance goal'-Thema taucht relativ abrupt auf, und wird auch nicht weiter ausgefuehrt. Hier ist der nachfolgende Satz (der 'policy setting' beschreibt):
