Cargill is an international producer and marketer of food, agricultural, financial and industrial products and services.
Cargill's Oilseeds Business Unit involves the crushing of seeds and refining of vegetable oils into products for the food, agricultural feed and chemical industries. Our product offerings include refined, winterized, hydrogenated, interesterified and fractionated oils and fats.
The plant crushes rapeseed and specialty crops to extract crude oil and mid protein meal.
As a Shift Supervisor you will work on a 12 hour continental shift pattern, managing the production operations of the rapeseed crushing plant.
Key performance indicators for this role include:
Optimisation of yield items including meal moisture, white meal fat and crush volume throughput

Expansion of the Cargill Oilseed Processing Facility
The seed material remaining after the extraction process (white meal) is then heated to vaporise the solvent, which is collected, condensed and reused. The meal is then cooled and conveyed to a storage area where it is ground and then stored for shipment to customers for use in animal feed.

In the extraction step, the oil is removed from the oil-bearing material by counter-current washing with solvent. The remaining material, which is saturated with solvent is called "white meal".
