Criminal check ist die Überschrift. Dann folgt: Es wird bestätigt, dass ... nicht in den Strafregistern der Polizei von ... aufgeführt ist.

Könnte man das als Prüfung der Strafregister übersetzen oder gibt es einen anderen festen Begriff hierfür?

Sow ird as zunächst allgemein genannt, wenn es darum geht, die Geeignetheit eines Anwärters für bestimmte Stellungen zu prüfen. Dabei wird bei deutschen Prüfungen sogar manchmal die "Prüfung auf schwebende Verfahren" vorgenommen (siehe zweite Site), wenn die Bonität für ein Gewerbe geprüft wird. Kommt aber bei Einzelpersonen wahrscheinlich nicht in Frage.
