German translation: Reference numbers - can't be translated

You cannot "translate" a reference number; if you do so, you change it. If someone then quotes it (say, in a letter to the Beamte) it isn't recognised.
it is about a sworn translation and yes I also try to translate as much as possible, but I think I will leave it here, as it does not really matter for the content. Thanks!
... sometimes in the case of beglaubigte Übersetzungen, I try to translate every little detail as much as possible, because some of those Beamte are so a***** retentive it's hard to believe, and you risk that your client doesn't get his document recognized.
Then again, I don't even know whether this is about a certified translation or not ...
CON ist ein guter Tipp, BN hätte bis 2009 mit Bonn gestimmt, jetzt sind sie in Berlin, aber evtl. haben sie ihre Kürzel noch nicht umgestellt, weil sie selbst nicht mehr wissen, wofür sie stehen ;-)
