English to German translations [PRO]

ich dachte zuerst, das heißt: die Lösung enthält etwa 5 Vol.-% Citronensäure und ferner 10 Vol.-% Alkohol.
Weiter unten im Text kam dann "and the alcohol is about 10% ethanol by volume.
Da hätte ich gedacht, das heißt, der Alkohol ist etwa 10 Vol.-%iger Ethanol.
Kann es sein, dass man das % by volume mal mit Vol.-% und mal mit Vol.-%ig übersetzt?? |

Ich weiß nicht, wie er das machen will. Es sei denn, er verwendet eine Standardlösung die er mit 5 Vol% zusetzt.
2. Alkoholanteile in wäßriger Lösung werden in der Regel in Vol% angegeben, d.h. selbst wenn bei Alhohol nur % dastünde, würde ich als Chemiker von Vol% ausgehen, während sonst üblicherweise Gewichtsprozent angegeben werden.
3. Im zweiten Satz wird mE der generische Begriff "Alkohol" durch den spezifischen Begriff "Ethanol" präzisiert, d.h. es wird nicht allgemein ein Alkohol (MeOH, EtOH, Propanol, Isopropanol, Butylalkohol und dergleichen) verwendet, sondern EtOH.
Du setzt aber keine 10%ige Ethanollösung zu, sondern der Anteil an Ethanol in der Lösung beträgt 10 Vol%.
4. Vol.-% ist Volumenprozent (Subs.), Vol-%ig ist volumenprozentig (Adj.)

Asker: Der Sinn wird ja nicht verändert, egal ob ich das Substantif oder das Adjektiv wähle. So kann ich also sagen: "die Lösung enthält etwa 5 Vol.-% Citronensäure und ferner 10 Vol.-% Alkohol", gell?
