Mein Zweifel umfasst besonders "batch-wise adsoprtion procedures".

"absorption procedures" = "Absorptionsversuche" OR "Absorptionsverfahren"
These procedures are carried out in "columns" = "Kolonne" (für die Grundlagen des ganzen, vgl. auch: http://www.fachschaft-chemie.de/Spek/GC02.pdf).
