English to German translations [PRO] Art/Literary - Cinema, Film, TV, Drama / Golf | | English term or phrase: to shag balls | Der Sprecher berichtet, dass er als Kind (8 Jahre) neben einem Golfplatz wohnte, in welchem der berühmte Ben Hogan spielte.
"I actually shagged balls for him".
"Shag" in diesem Kontext sagt mir leider nichts.
Was hat der also gemacht? Ihm die Bälle zugespielt/eingesammelt?
Zu sagen, dass er Caddie war, ginge sicherlich zu weit. |

Asker: Defintely no double entendre here. You'd all agree if you could see this scene. No smirk, no smile, no allusion, just the pain and simple recollection of collecting golf balls.
Thanks to all of you for your help.
Asker: p*l*ain, of course. No double entendre intended.
